I paint in a small unorganized room in Northern Idaho. Something about being in a confined space that is full of chaos appeals to my creative side. I’ve been drawing and painting since I could hold a pencil, but didn’t start putting it out into the world until my early 20’s when I started making zines and publishing comics under the name Randy Spaghetti. I mostly wrote about traveling in the outdoors, going to punk rock shows, hanging out in dive bars, and interviewing bands and people that I found interesting. It was a fun time before the world of blogs and facebook. From 2001 to 2009 I took a break from serious art making and focused on my career as an educator. I continued to develop my style during those years, but didn’t have the time to focus on it in any significant way. Around 2010 I started getting serious about painting again. In 2015 I started showing and selling my work.
My primary medium is ink/watercolor on paper, and acrylic on canvas.
Thanks for visiting my site, I sincerely hope you enjoy the art.
